Muga Silk is a rare and prized wild silk from Assam, India, indigenous to the Brahmaputra Valley and protected with a Geographical Indication (GI) tag. Produced traditionally by village clusters, it is known for its natural golden-yellow or light brown hue, derived from the host plant the moth feeds on—no dyes or chemicals are used, making it an organic and eco-friendly fabric. Muga silk is sun-resistant, more durable than mulberry silk, and retains its lustre and strength even after years of use. It is handwoven, so minor irregularities may occur. Care: Dry Clean Only. Iron on silk setting.
